19.Undercut Releasing System

1.Used for the molding of undercut area, the different steel should be used whenever possible;otherwise nitride hardening treatment needed.

2. General guideline:

  •    try to minimize dim. A;
  •   B≥ 2/3H, higher the center of mass;
  •   10° ≤E≤25°
  •   F>E,the minimum difference 3o ,r=0.063”~0.125”;
  •   diameter of angle pins: Ø3/8,1/2,5/8,3/4,1-1/4,excluding Ø7/8,chamfer preferred  at the end;
  •   minimum 1/8” added to required travel and one operation diagram needed;
  •   C=0.6H or 0.6L,the larger,the better.

4.Two angle pins and another guide rail centered are employed when Dim. Z is over 4-1/2”.

5.  the contact point should be lowered for smooth running.

6.the delayed slide move can be acquired by increasing the clearance between angle pin and slide,which is very usefull when the parting sequence is needed.

7. the wear plate of heel block should be used when the most of slide(>2/3) is buried into cavity side.wear plate is fixed directly to moldbase with a thickness of 1/4″.

8.  the style depicted in the following diagram was suggested when the most height  of slide(>2/3) is buried into core side.the key features are the clearance and backup area(It’s needed when an higher injection pressure expected).

10.  the wear plate design

It’s should be used for the easy repair after wearing out and where two components move against each other.

The width of std. component :3/4,1,1-1/4,1-1/2,2,2-1/2,3 and 4.the oversized wear plate must be redesigned as following:

11.  the guide rail design

1.     used for guiding the movement of slide and repair when wearing out.

2.     Material: AISI 01 or DIN1.2510 ,54~56HRC.

3.     Lubrication oil slot added to all the guide rail and wear plate.(SP-00-02.24) when AISI 01 used

12. retaining of slide at end of stroke

(i)compression spring;
(ii)plunger;
(iii)DME slide retainer;
(iv)SUPERIOR slide retainer.

23.the design of lifter

  •  Used for the internal undercut releasing;
  •  the steel for main block and lifter should be different:
  •  the fitting clearance needed for the nitriding;
  •  three design styles used;
  •  Bronze retaining block located on the back side of B plate need for smooth operation of the longer lifter.
  •  the fitting length is greater than two times of the lifter travel.

24 The lubrication oil slot

  • used for decreasing the wear of moving component.
  • slot size: 0.50 X1.0~2.0(DepthX Width).
  •  oil slot should be a closed profile.
  •  The minimum radius 0.30mm.
  •  The number of oil slot kept to a minimum.
  • The lubrication oil can’t exposed to plastic part space.
